Meet Dr. Jacob...
Dr. Dan Jacob has lived in New Orleans for more than 40 years. He grew up in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane as an undergraduate. After graduating from Tulane University School of Medicine, he served five years in the U.S. Navy and returned to complete his residency at L.S.U. He opened his private practice in facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology in Metairie in 1985.
Dr. Jacob is double board certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat) / Head and Neck Surgery. For the past 25 years he has performed surgery exclusively on the face, neck, and head. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Otolaryngology, the Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Jacob is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at both the Tulane and LSU Schools of Medicine and is on staff at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie.
Committed to the highest level of patient care, Dr. Jacob believes every patient deserves consideration and compassion. When you come into our New Orleans-area facial plastic surgery office for a consultation, Dr. Jacob listens to you, assesses your needs, helps you set realistic appearance goals, and discusses how to attain them. As a double board-certified surgeon, he has a trained eye to determine what you need and the expertise to achieve the natural look you want.
“I enjoy the challenges of private practice, including the exacting nature of facial plastic surgery. It is a joy to be able to make another person feel better about himself. And through my work with Tulane and LSU medical schools, I have the distinct privilege of helping train our next generation of physicians.”
In 2002, Dr. Jacob co-founded the New Orleans Medical Mission Services Foundation (NOMMS) and since has organized surgical medical missions throughout Central and South America. “In providing care for these extremely impoverished people, I have learned the true meaning of ‘It is better to give than receive.’ ”
Call our metro New Orleans-area facial plastic surgery office today to schedule an appointment for your complimentary consultation with Dr. Jacob. Together you can evaluate and discuss which non-surgical or surgical facial rejuvenation procedures will bring out the best in you.
